Date Night Makeup Valentines Day

It's nearly Valentines Day so I can only assume the majority of the population will be putting on their best "gear" (clothes) and going on a date to celebrate the day of luuurrrrvvveee. I know a lot of couples who choose not to celebrate Valentine's Day as they feel they don't need to have a specific day of the year to show their partner how much they appreciate and love them and right they are but I mean it's Valentine's day! Babe, where we going?

I love nothing more than getting dressed up for a date and really putting the effort in, but this all depends on where the date is taking place. Traditional dates were a trip to the movies or dinner but now there's a world of possibilities and it doesn't even have to be the typical idea of romantic as long as you and your partner have fun, who cares! Personally I like going for a dinner date but that's because I like food.

For a first date, I would normally go natural-ish with a red lip because of course that's the colour of love, duh! I think you really can't go wrong with a natural look. If that's not for you then you can glam it up and go all out.

FACE

I have been using the Maybelline Satin Liquid foundation for a while now and I love it. It's the perfect colour for my skin tone and it blends like a dream and leaves my skin looking flawless. I also have noticed a massive improvement in my skin since using this foundation and it leaves a really nice healthy glow. I then conceal any blemishes if I have any and any dark areas and blend that in with a damp beauty blender, I find it's so much easier to blend when the beauty blender is damp. I then powder my whole face, I like the Maybelline Fit Me one but you can't go to wrong with powder as long as it's translucent and not too cakey. I then bronze, contour, blush and highlight. I picked the Zoeva Rose Golden Blush Palette for this look because the bronzer is very subtle and blends in really nicely, I also love the highlighter in this palette, a great alternative is the Makeup Revolution Golden Lights it's been a favourite of mine for ages now.

EYES

I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade, I have used this for ages now, never use anything else since I purchased it, nothing much more to say about that. Next for my favourite part, Eyeshadow. I'm a warm toned eyeshadow girl, I don't mind a pop of colour now and again but I normally leave the bold colours for my lips. I am obsessed with the Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Palette and the Morphe 15D Day Slayer Palette, they are my go to eyeshadow palette for any look. I like to use a lighter orange toned eyeshadow as a transition shade and blend that out and then go in with a warm brown and darken up the outer V of my eye and blend that into the crease. I also like to apply a little bit of eyeshadow under my eye and if I want any glitter/shimmer I'd add that after. I would then add eyeliner if I fancy it but for a date night I normally skip this and just put a pretty pair of lashes on and a touch of mascara you can't go wrong with the Two Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

LIPS

Like I said I like to keep the bold colours for my lips, for a date night you can't go wrong with a classic red lip in my opinion but a nice nude is a good shout too, especially if your planning to stuff yo face! I always line my lips first and over line them a bit to make them appear fuller. I was very kindly gifted the Sleek Matte Me Minis for Christmas and they DO NOT budge, although I did have to convince my boyfriend for a few minutes before he'd kiss me and I did have to re-apply after I ate but it wasn't all over my face at least!

I hope you have a love filled Valentines Day and you too single one, you can drag your friend on a date with you or you could just have a date with Netflix and food!
