If I'm all up in the kitchen baking then 97% of the time it's something chocolaty, I can't help myself I LOVE chocolate and every form it comes in, especially a spongy texture! I have been baking a fair bit recently as it's something I love to do so I've dedicated more time to it and although it adds a few extra calories to my diet, it sure tastes good and makes me happy!
I have to say one of my all time favourite chocolate bars is the classic Kinder Bueno and whilst scrolling through pinterest and seeing a cake full of kinder Bueno chocolate I had to give it a go and if I do say so myself I did good considering I'm only an amature baker and I had to stop what I was doing to take photos every 5 minutes but that's the joys of sharing something like this on my blog so you guys can give it go too!
- 300g Self Raising Flour
- 400g Golden Caster Sugar
- 100g Cocoa Powder
- 400g Unsalted Butter/Stork
- 8 Eggs
- 200g Nutella
Nutella Ganache:
- 600g Nutella
- 300ml Double Cream
Decoration:
All the Kinder Chocolate you wish!!
Optional: 200g ground hazelnuts
(You can also half the ingredients if you want a small cake, I have a big family so this is the recipe I used)
1. Preheat Oven at 140c Fan and line 2 7" cake tins.
2. Cream together the butter (stork) and golden caster sugar together

3. Add the eggs, mix then add the flour & mix again
4. Add ground hazelnuts (optional)
5. Add cocoa powder and mix.. again. (call it a gym workout if you wish)
6. Finally, add in the yummy stuff (Nutella) & you guessed it, mix again!
6. Pour half the mixture into one 7" tin and the other half in another 7" cake tin.
7. BAKE | 140c - 1 hour and 30 minutes (or when skewer comes out clean)

Nutella Ganache:
1. Add Nutella & Double cream into a bowl, Microwave for 30 seconds.
2. Whisk well until smooth, microwave for a further 15 seconds if needed.

8. Leave cakes to cool on cooling rack/greaseproof paper upside down
9. Fill the middle of the cake with Nutella Ganache
10. Sandwich the two sides together and smooth over the remaining Ganache all over using a palette knife.
10. Decorate! I melted white chocolate in the microwave and dripped it over in back and forth motions using a spoon and I used kinder bueno bars ( a lot of them) to decorate the sides of the cake and then added other ones on top and poking out the top!
I don't recommend you eat the full cake is one sitting unless your planning to stay sitting for a few days! This cake was so delicious I've had to stop myself going back into the kitchen and baking another and to get better decent photos!! I took all the photos for this recipe on my phone as it's just handier especially when there's chocolate all over my hands it's much more convenient to just use your phone, I said that until I looked back on the photos I took for this post and I'm sooo unimpressed with the quality but at the end of the day for this post it's about the quality of the food and not the photos and I can give this a 10 out of 10 (if I can even give myself that) I hope you enjoy baking this treat and enjoy eating it even more!
This looks AMAZING!! I'm such a huge kinder bueno fan so this is definitely a bit of me haha. xx
